| The Vineyard of Nizhny Novgorod, was started in August of 1993. It began when a group of 49 Americans from different East Coast Vineyards came to Nizhny and did a week long evangelistic crusade with three meetings a day. Since that time, the Church has undergone many different transformations and met in many different places. But Praise the Lord, we have been meeting at the same building for the last 6 & ½ years. |
| Our services are in both English and Russian, with contemporary worship that the Vineyard is known for. We have a children’s ministry and teen group that meets every Sunday during the service time. We celebrate Holy Communion the first Sunday of the month, with a time of tea and snacks as we get to know one another. Throughout the week we have different ministries that you are welcome to attend. We start the week with a Prayer meeting, and various small meetings throughout the week. |

| In November of 1990 while still serving in Guatemala, Dave felt the Lord illuminate the scripture; Isa 55:5 “Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God,” …(KJV). Not knowing what it was about, or what it meant, Dave prayed and waited. 13 years later, when beginning to start the church service, a group of about 20 foreign medical students, walked in. In an instant, the Lord reminded Dave of this verse, and said this is my promise. Since that time, the ministry to students has been a three fold effort. First, The Lord told us we need to be a home for these students who are leaving their families, church, culture and everything known to them and placed in a place where they are made to stand on their own. We are continually praying and helping students to deepen their relationship with God. Secondly, The Lord asked us to help them reach out to their fellow countrymen, many of these students, come from Muslim or Buddhist countries where evangelism is illegal, but it isn’t here. One of the largest outreaches is the yearly Christmas Outreach. Thirdly, The Lord wants us to strengthen each of the believers that He brings to us, so when they go home, they will be missionaries for the Gospel, serving as Doctors and Dentists, to further His Kingdom.
